Full Day & Short Day Tours

These rides are available year round, run on demand in the

beautiful Bega Valley of South East NSW.

1. Tantawangalo Tantalizer

b Old growth forests b Six Mile Creek b Mainly down hill b Bega Valley

This full one day ride takes in most of the attractions of the Tantawangalo section of the South East Forests National Park. We ride through Old Growth eucalypt forests, cruise down long hills, picnic in dappled sunshine, then traverse the Bega Valley pastures. With our long lunch break, we spend time enjoying the sunshine or a swim at the lovely Six mile Creek waterfall, (I believe it's one of the most beautiful swimming spots). We finish at the historic village of Candelo.

2. Peak to Creek

b Short-Day Ride b 87% Downhill b Tour of Fire Tower b Lovely natural swimming place

This very relaxing tour involves being collected from your accommodation by the support vehicle and taken to the top of the mountain. Here we we walk up the fire spotting tower, learn how it operates and enjoy the glorious views. Our riding (or should I say rolling) starts a little below the tower, and we travel through the National Park with its wildlife & views, then into Forestry country, ending at the upper reaches of the Pambula River. Here we enjoy morning tea of fresh fruit, homemade cakes & espresso coffee, with the option of a swim. Your returned home in time for lunch.

3. Waves & Wallabies

b Short-Day Ride b Bournda N.P. b Wildlife abounds b Lagoon walk (enquire when booking)

Bournda National Park is renowned for its coastal scenery & wildlife. Macropods, reptiles & birds all flourish here in this coastal sanctuary, and we encounter many of them as we glide quietly by. We visit historic Scott's Hut, take a short walk to the nearby lookout for the picture-postcard view, and indulge in a scrumptious morning tea. Usually we drive people back to their accommodation, however some prefer to take their own transport, do the bike tour, then stay on for the afternoon exploring and relaxing in the area, swimming, sailing, bird watching and walking.

We also see a recent or currently active Forestry coop.  13. TASSIE TREADLE - NEW TOUR

b 13 days b Motels/Camping b Freycinet National Park  b Maria Island b Thermal springs b Spectacular scenery b Mt Wellington descent b Penguin watching & heaps more

This fantastic 13 day cycle holiday takes us from Devonport in the north, through the centre of Tassie all the way to the far south, and then returns via the east coast. We take in some of the Holiday Isle’s most beautiful natural features including Russell Falls & surrounding rainforests, the unspoilt beaches & mountains of Freycinet N.P., wildlife including
penguins at Bicheno, Mt. Wellington & even Maria Island. We also visit many of the cultural attractions of Tasmania including: Darlington convict settlement, picturesque villages such as Deloraine, historic Hobart, Franklin Wooden Boat Centre, Salamanca markets and much more. This tour suits those who have already experienced Tassie and first timers, as we manage to take in many of the popular features and some of the harder to get to ones. We go in late summer, after the crowds when the weather is warm & stable, & the ocean is great for swimming! The busier roads are
avoided by our choice of back roads and by using our support vehicle at times. So for all those who have travelled with us before and asked for a cycling holiday in Tassie, & those who haven’t enjoyed our great supported tours yet but would love an adventure in the Apple Isle with a fun little group, this could be for you, our ‘Tassie Treadle Tour’.
